| 内容記述 | Wind Profiler Radar (WPR) is well known as a powerful tool to investigate the wind velocity in atmospheric boundary layer which plays an important role in weather forecasting and diffusion of air pollutant. In the project of “Formation of research base for measurement and conservation of environment in Hokuriku area" supported by MEXT, a WPR using L band radio wave was installed at Awara campus on March 2012, and continuous observation has been conducted since December 2012. As the results of initial observation, various wind data, which are useful for environmental monitoring of Fukui, has been obtained such as land and see breeze circulation or local wind system related to heavy rainfall in the northern area of Fukui prefecture. The article reports the initial observation results of local circulation in Fukui plain and the future perspective. | |||||
