| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to examine the some problems about the theory of architecture, according to the phenomena of dwelling in the Japanese classical literature. In this article, “Sanuki no Suke Nikki(diary) vol.I" as a text, written by the court lady Fujiwara no Nagako soon after the death of the Emperor Horikawa in 1107, we try to explore the mentality of the Dwelling from the point of view of “Oku" mentality. “Oku" is usually used to mean the back or inside, as depth in Space, but this word includes also the concept of Time from ancient times. Therefore, four elements---Space, Time, Body and Mind---are synthesized in this paper. Nagako described in small details to be present and so close at the death of an emperor in the palace. From these descriptions, we would like to shed light on the adaptability of Space in the Japanese dwelling by “Oku". | |||||
