内容記述 | In Japan, we have had a great many educational problems, such as school violence, domestic violence, staying indoors, chemical poisoning, achievement degradation, and so on. This is partly because of students' surroundings having greatly changed because of material prosperity in Japan. There has been a great change from poverty to wealth. Students' desires have been expanding, with the result that they always feel discontented. Consequently, they lack perseverance, from which it seems that most of the educational problems are brought about. In this situation I should think it is necessary that we go back to the basics of educational philosophy. Now I would like to mention John Dewey, American philosopher, because he has broad, profound and scientific thought in his philosophy. He is thought to be one of the most distinguished educational philosophers in the world. | |||||
