| 内容記述 | The word "Jiu" is used very frequently in Chinese language. It can be used as a verb, particle, adverb and so on. In addition to those, it can else be compounded with other words to make new words. In this paper, I will endeavor to give an account of the usages of "Jiu" as a particle. As a particle, "Jiu" can be principally used to express as "the limit of time", "the emphasis on an affirmation" "the limit of range and number", "the cause and effect" "the emphasis on a short way" and so on. I will try to give an account of the usages of "Jiu" from these five directions in this paper. | |||||
