内容記述 | Kakinomoto Hitomaro is the greatest poet of Man'youshu (The Ten Thousand Leaves). Hitomaro's task as a Court poet was one of crafting iconic image which "prove" the divinity of the imperial family. He glorify Emperor Temmu's construction of his new palace in Asuka as a divine act. He composed the two chouka at the time of a procession by Empress Jitou, Temmu's widow, to the detached palace on the banks of the Yoshino River. These are Hitomaro's greatest achievements as provider of joyous icons of imperial glory. He established the imperial divinity in a aesthetic dimension. He used often the phrases "Our Lord, who rules in peace, A very God","A very God manifests his divine will". In this treatise, I explained how Hitomaro used the word Kaminagara (A very God) which manifested Emperor's divinity | |||||
