| 内容記述 | This study examined methods of evaluating skill and physical ability of net-type sports players in situations when the player is without the ball and to consider how these methods can be applied to teaching in physical education classes and club activities.Participants were 25 adult (age: 23.2 ± 4.17,height: 173.1 ± 4.64cm,weight: 67.9 ± 7.01 kg) (“top athlete group") and 25 young soft tennis players (age: 16.8 ± 1.84,height: 173.6 ± 5.03cm,weight: 65.0 ± 6.08 kg) (“youth group") with high ranks in Japan.Five tests were conducted with both groups.The top athlete group had significantly higher scores than the youth group on four tests: the sidestep test,back-and-forth and side-to-side shuttle-run tests,and spider test.These tests are effective in assessing the skills of a net-type sports player in a situation where the player is without the ball and can be considered valuable tools in coaching practical skills. | |||||
