Owing to the good solubility of the complexes of Fl(Me)2 with CDs, ionization of Fl(Me)2 occurred within the laser flash (5 ns) to give Fl(Me)2 radical cation [Fl(Me)2・+] and solvated electron (e・-). The ionization yields of Fl(Me)2 in the present of CDs depended on the shape and properties of the complexes.
