The purpose of this robot is that, on such as the scene of the accident of the nuclear power plant, to measure the radiation dose, identification of radioactive material and the understanding of the field situation. By experiments, we have confirmed that the following. (1)Driving performance on level ground, step, stairs and slope. (2)Process of operation progress. (3)Factors that change the operability. (4)Possibility of identification of radioactive material by telemetry. In this study, the foundation of remote controlled robot monitoring radiation could be established.
