Ionization of DEph occurred within the laser flash (5 ns) to give water-solvated electron. The electron was generated by two-photon excitation by means of simultaneous irradiation with 266 nm laser light, and the ionization quantum yields for DEph in the presence of α-CD, β-CD, mβ-CD, and γ-CD depended on the properties of the DEph/CD complexes. These results suggest that two-photon-ionization clearly occurred with these complexes.
