This paper describes the fault types detecting algorithm in power systems and the evaluation of the investigated fast current detection using 3 phase non-linear power circuit. The influence in the time constant difference between the presumed and the actual values for current detection is studied. In the faults on generator circuits, transient and sub-transient time constant affect on the fault current wave shape.
