Recently, copiers have been required higher performances in the processing speeds and the precision of making copies. The reduction of scanner vibration is the key factor for such purposes. Authors have considered the vibration mechanism of a typical scanner, constructed the dynamical model in operation and derived the equations of motion. Resonant frequencies and resonant modes were numerically obtained and then transient vibration responses were calculated.
