Reinforcing this area is considered to be effective for improving the deformation capacity of the wall columns. Previously, lateral loading tests of wall columns were conducted on edge concrete confinement. This paper analyzes those lateral loading tests using the three-dimensional nonlinear finite element method (FEM), and examines the ductility of wall columns.
