There have been mixed mode between the power systems and many others oscillations, such as the SSR and cross-compound machine oscillations, which is specific mode oscillations of generator. To date, most major generators in trunk power system are equipped with supplementary excitation control, commonly referred to as the conventional PSS. However, low frequency oscillations still occur in system. In this paper, first the development of adaptive H_∞ control system for stability and robust control is explained.
