| 内容記述 | While the Japanese government has been promoting the active role of women, the issue of gender diversity has also become apparent in Fukui Prefecture. By the way, what is the definition of “active” women? Fukui Prefecture has been promoting measures in line with the index for female managers, but is being in a managerial position the only way to be “active”? In the past, women in Fukui were also active by making the most of their technical skills. This paper reviews the history of women's activities in Fukui Prefecture from this perspective, clarifies current issues in Fukui Prefecture, and looks ahead to the future of women's activities in Fukui Prefecture. In conclusion, in order for a company to promote women's activities, the management itself needs to clearly indicate the direction of its strategy to its employees. They should also indicate what abilities and skills are required of female employees in light of the company direction. On the other hand, in order for women themselves to be active, they need to develop their abilities in line with the company's direction in a long-term and systematic manner. Furthermore, it is presented that the company should support such women's efforts to improve their skills. | |||||||
