| 内容記述 | This study aimed to clarify the effects of the menstrual cycle on cardiorespiratory responses and thermoregulatory function during exercise in female kendo athletes. The subjects were seven university-level female kendo athletes with regular menstrual cycles. Incremental exercise tests using treadmill walking were conducted during both the menstrual and follicular phases. Heart rate, oxygen uptake, and ventilation were measured as cardiorespiratory indicators, and tympanic temperature was measured as a thermoregulatory indicator. As a result, VO₂ and HR tended to be slightly higher during the follicular phase, while no significant difference was observed in VE. Tympanic temperature increased after exercise in both phases; however, the increase was more pronounced during the follicular phase. These findings suggest that elevated estrogen levels during the follicular phase may influence circulatory and thermoregulatory responses. | |||||||
