| 内容記述 | This study aimed to examine differences in segmental race time, stride length, and stride frequency during the 200-m sprint among male collegiate sprinters. Athletes were categorized into two groups based on the B standard qualifying time (21.10 s) for the All Japan Intercollegiate Track & Field Championships: high performers (HP; ≤ 21.10 s) and low performers (LP; > 21.10 s). Nineteen male collegiate sprinters (mean 200-m personal best: 21.02 ± 0.50 s) were recorded using high-speed video cameras (60 fps) during 200-m races. Data were collected for the 0–100 m and 100–200 m sections, including section time, stride length, and stride frequency. Additionally, stride frequency was analyzed after the 80-m mark, where athletes make their way around the curve to straight. The results revealed that the HP group maintained a significantly higher stride frequency in the 100–200 m segment and experienced a smaller reduction in stride frequency than in the 0–100 m segment. Analysis of average stride frequency across four steps from 80 m to 180 m showed that although both groups demonstrated a decline, the HP group maintained significantly higher stride frequencies at both 150 m and 180 m. These findings suggest that maintaining a higher stride frequency in the latter half of the race is a key characteristic of sprinters who run faster than 21.10 s in the 200-m event. | |||||||
