Unlike on-road passenger cars, it is used under high intensity vibration conditions. The disturbance from rough roads affects the operability of the accelerator pedal. To evaluate an accelerator pedal operability, feedback questionnaire is common method for evaluation, but it is difficult to eliminate the driver’s personality and subjectivity affect to the evaluation. Therefore, we investigated a method for evaluating the operability of the accelerator pedal in a vibration environment using a vibration experiment device that simulates driving on rough terrain. We also used this method to study specifications for improving the operability of the accelerator pedal.
