The principle of filter is based on the energy trapping behavior of microwave in the nonuniformly magnetized ferrite slab. Resonance mode diagram of TE type was derived from Maxwell's equation under the boundary conditions of nonuniform bias magnetic field profile and poynting theorem. Experiments were carried out using polycrystalline YIG ferrite slab having dimensions of 5mm×10mm in thickness of 2mm, and they were compared with the theory.
