It is very important to examine the mechanism of the contact behavior to improve the energy efficiency and durability of an ultrasonic motor. We already proposed a numerical technique with use of Finite Element Method for linear contact behavior which contains non-contact, slip contact and stick contact. In this paper, we expand this technique to nonlinear behavior on the basis of the incremental theory because the actual contact behavior is nonlinear.
